Dear Fellow Arrowmen,

As this term closes out, our 2017 - 2018 officers and I would like to thank all of you for supporting our efforts this past year. Our final attendance number was 1,409 making our Conclave the largest in the country this year. A special thank you to Tsoiotsi Tsogalii for all their hard work in hosting Conclave this year. A year's worth of planning and preparation went into making this Conclave happen and we couldn't have done it without them.

Our 2019 Conclave is already less than a year away and we hope to see you there. Keep Conclave on your calendar for April 12th - 14th, 2019 at Camp Durant.

You're in Cheerful Service,
Sean Alewine, Section Chief

Service at Conclave

In the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service, we strive to give back to the surrounding community during our events. We did just that at this year's Conclave. Our main service project at Conclave was to pack bags with books for students in the local community. At the end of the day Saturday, we packed 1,200 bags.

The Red Cross joined us at Conclave to collect blood in their mobile blood bus. We collected 28 units of blood on Saturday.

Thank you to everyone who brought canned food to donate at Conclave. At the end of the weekend, we had collected 2,141 lbs of canned food.

We held our second annual Cardinal Clay Classic Shoot at this year's Conclave. Proceeds from this event go to support the National OA Endowment. Our section raised $1,000 through the Clay Classic.

Our annual patch auction raised $1,627 for the Maury Clancy Indian Campership Fund. This fund was created in 1971 to help American Indian Scouts attend resident camp. The fund is named in memory of long time national committee member Maury Clancy, who contributed significantly to the Order. Mr. Clancy emphasized the significance of our nation's American Indian culture and worked to encourage the preservation of our American Indian heritage.

Conclave in 2019 will be  April 12th - 14th at Camp Durant. Join us for what we anticipate to be one of the largest Conclaves in history. The 2013 Conclave at Camp Durant set an attendance record with 1701 registrations and we hope to break that in 2019. Come be a part of history by attending the largest OA event in the country during 2019.
