2021 Section Secretary

Hey Everyone!

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Matthew Bobzien and I have the honor of serving as your 2020-2021 Section Secretary. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell y’all a little bit about myself both as a Scout and as a person.

I am an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Arrowmen from Occoneechee Lodge 104 where I serve as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 226G. I have dedicated a majority of my life to scouting over the past eight years. I’ve had the pleasure of serving in many committee chairman positions in my lodge including brotherhood chairman, recognitions chairman, training chairman, and many more. Beyond that, I have served as lodge vice chief of finance, section recognitions chairman, and currently as a key volunteer on the national training subcommittee. I have also loved spending my summers on Camp Durant Staff these past few years in our Trail to Eagle area and as office assistant.

Outside of scouting, I am a student at Elon University majoring in Arts Administration with a concentration in theatre. I have spent years of my life performing and being a part of various theatrical performances. I am also a third degree black belt and singer/songwriter. I am passionate, ambitious, and 110% committed to everything I do. 

I am excited to innovate the section social media this year and keep all of y’all in the loop throughout the year in the Apensuwi and on the section website. My goal is to help each and every one of you feel connected to conclave and to other Arrowmen across the section. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible while I visit your lodges’ in person and virtual events.
