At Conclave: Two Camp Activity Program Areas

by Mar 10, 2021Apensuwi

Two program areas at Conclave 2021 feature those activities where you can enjoy the outdoors and venture both out and up like you do at all your favorite Scout camps.

Our Cardinal COPE and Climbing program at Conclave this year is going to be full of fun and excitement. This area features Camp Bowers’ top notch climbing tower and multiple awesome ziplines. Participants will travel to three round robin stations of different climbing activities. Within each station, participants will be taught the basics of how to use the course and will then spend the majority of the time actually climbing and enjoying their time with some stations having miniature competitions and activities such as races or trivia. The activities may include climbing up the main tower, riding ziplines, COPE team building games, and taking on the Camp Bowers ropes course. Every participant will get to spend over half an hour learning and doing each skill they encounter. This program will be full of physical activity and will have food and water provided.

Next up, is this year’s “A Day on the Lake” program. If you are an Arrowman, that wants to spend some time at Conclave relaxing on the lake, exploring in a boat, or even racing your peers then this area is the perfect one for you. Participants will get to experience four different aqautics based stations throughout their time in the area. They’ll get to go kayaking, canoeing, and stand up paddle boarding! Plus, there will be a very fun fourth surprise land based station taking place at the waterfront. This is also where one of the Quest for the Golden Arrow events will take place, giving youth arrowmen the chance to do a kayak time trial.

If you want to reach for new heights this year or get your toes wet with fun experiences in either of these programs, then register for Conclave by March 23rd at oae8.org/conclave.
