Section Officers

Vice Chief of Program — Liam Shaw

Liam is an Eagle Scout from Stokesdale, North Carolina. He is an active Vigil honor member in Tsoiotsi Tsogalii Lodge 70. Here he has served cheerfully in various facets of the lodge since he was first inducted in 2018 including the Vice Chief of Administration, service corps, as well as ceremony team. Liam has worked on Camp Cherokee summer camp staff for four years and most recently served as the assistant aquatics director for 2023. He currently studies Economics at Texas A&M University and is part of the Corps of Cadets.

Program Adviser — Rachel Shaffer

Rachel is an assistant scoutmaster with her troop in Wilmington. She and the troop are busy preparing for their 3rd trek to Philmont next summer! Rachel joined the section advising team a few years ago but is very excited about her new role as program advisor.

Vice Chief of Training — Nicholas Withrow

Nick is an Eagle Scout and avid Sea Scout from Greensboro, North Carolina. He is currently serving as the NVSSA 2024 lead and is pursuing his Quartermaster. He joined the Order of the Arrow in the fall of 2019, and has been an active member of ceremonies and American Indian Affairs since. He is now a brotherhood member of Tsoiotsi Tsogalii Lodge 70, and has served on the Camp Raven Knob Aquatics staff for 3 years.

Secretary — Zachary Smith

Zachary is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member from Wilkesboro, North Carolina. He is currently completing his Associate in Arts Degree at Wilkes Community College. Zachary began his Order of the Arrow career with Wahissa Lodge in 2018. He has served his lodge as Takachsin Chapter Chief and Lodge Vice Chief of Communications. Zachary currently serves Wahissa Lodge as the Vice Chief of Communications and Vigil Chief. He also served on the Camp Raven Knob Staff this past summer.
